A set of animated emojis designed specifically for Rust, giving players expressive in-game reactions that feel native to the world and character design of the game.

Friendly

The idea was to create a friendly but relatable Rust emoji - mimicking the character design of a fresh player taking their first steps in Rust.

Variants

With the choice of being able to customise an emoji - whether skin tone, marker colour, or scientist hazmat colour.

Animated

All of the emojis were animated in Adobe After Effects and exported into a transparent WebM format for Unity.
